Juaquin Fabela, known by his stage name Relentless, goes definitely beast-mode when he spits on the mic. His style is definitely like no other and his vocal projection lives up to his Youtube channel name, ModernDayBeast. He has pushed the title for “fastest rapper” to a whole different level. Just try and listen to his songs and attempt to catch every word he speaks. I’m sure you’ll soon find yourself searching for the lyrics video. Like a machine gun, he unloads his lyrical clip in rapid-fire form. The best part, as quoted by him, “I do not make music for paper, I make music for change.” We find another Christian rapper who is determined to change things for a better way of life. He does so not for himself but striving to provide inspiration among the youth. In 2012, Juaquin Fabela broke the record for fastest rapper and claimed the title of World Record Holder for Speed Rapping. He displays this feat of lyrical speed and record breaking triumph on Youtube. Do a search on Youtube by typing "The Summary Of The Book Of Revelations in 25 seconds”. In the introduction, he states to do it in under 30 seconds and amazingly does it in 25.15 seconds effortlessly! When he started his first verse, I was in awe. I could only catch a few words but just enough to know what he was telling his audience. The swiftness and concentration as he goes through each bar is intense and makes you wonder the usual, “How does he do that?” By the time it was done, I was already clicking to hear it again on replay. His dedication and motivation towards the cause of his rap movement is unbelievable. To add to his remarkable rap style, he has an interesting background and lifestyle as well. Nephew to leader and activist in labor and civil rights, Cesar Chavez, the drive to fight and make changes are already instilled within Juaquin Fabela. Also growing up with a strong mother and the decisions she made to help her family survive, nurtured his knowledge on what struggle, hardship and overcoming them is like. All of this and with his strong belief in Jesus Christ, has brought him to make many accomplishments throughout his pursuit in making a change. He has had invitations and interviews on media and for events. Most of his works are aimed at providing inspiration to the public and his listeners. Being a rapper is not the only role he has chosen to tackle in order to make a difference. He is also a Youth Intervention Counselor and dedicates time into working with thousands of youth. To the youth, he promotes positivity and strength. Furthermore, he encourages them to make positive changes in the lifestyles they live. It is completely phenomenal how his passion and work helps change their way of thinking. I look forward to hearing more of him in Christian Hip Hop, the Music Industry, and other media. Relentless!
